- Organization: NLADA
The House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, State, Justice, the Judiciary and Related Agencies (CJS) marked up a bill allocating $335.3 million in funding for LSC in FY 2005. LSC has received that same amount in each of the past two years after across-the-board rescissions. Chairman of the CJS Subcommittee Frank Wolf (R-VA) said that the subcommittee is committed to civil legal assistance, and Representative José Serrano (D-NY) noted that he wanted to address the restrictions on LSC grantees' non-federal funds.
