I-CAN! EIC reports generated as of April 3rd have great news for low-income Montanans. Two hundred and seven (207) low-income Montanans have used I-CAN! to file for the Earned Income Credit, leading every state except California by at least 60 users. These 207 tax filers have reaped a total refund amount of $518,896, representing $374,617 of Earned Income Credit money. This also means that 207 Montanans have avoided giving their hard-earned EIC to tax preparation fees or loans with exorbitant interest rates. Nationally, this easy-to-use Internet tax filing system has helped working low-income people receive $3,770,512 in federal credits, including $2,489,349 in Earned Income Credit money. Keep referring your clients to I-CAN! EIC!
